Moving, Breathing, and Writing through Grief

Tuesdays in August 5, 12, 19, and 26 from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm at the Center for Grief and Loss in Saint Paul

$120 for four sessions

In these four 90-minute sessions, you'll care for your body with gentle movement and breathwork, followed by a period of writing from a prompt focused on an aspect of grief. Facilitated by Dallas Rising, a yoga instructor who specializes in somatic grief work. Participants should have reliable high-speed internet access, be able to log into a Zoom room, and plan to have a yoga mat or blanket, a journal or notebook, and a pen. This experience will be best suited for people who are grieving the death of a loved one, though it doesn't matter if the loss is recent or not. Register through the Center for Grief and Loss.

* Note, the movement portion of this series is very gentle and accessible. Please feel free to reach out if you have concerns.

Moving, Breathing, and Writing through Grief: SurvivingAnimal Loss

Mondays September 6, 13, 20, and 27, 2025

7:15 pm to 8:45 pm Central Time on Zoom

$120 per registrant

This is a limited-run grief group for people who are mourning the death of a beloved animal and would benefit from a supportive group to reflect, process, share, and heal. All bonds of love and care will be honored in this group, including those often disenfranchised in many other spaces (such as animals bred and killed for food or those who have loved an animal of a species many consider pests or scary).

In these four 90-minute sessions, you’ll care for your body with gentle movement and breathwork before taking some time to write from a prompt focused on an aspect of grief. Facilitated by Dallas Rising, an ordained interspecies chaplain and yoga instructor specializing in somatic grief work.

Participants should have reliable high-speed internet access, be able to log into a Zoom room, and plan to have a yoga mat or blanket, a journal or notebook, and a pen.
